The Dolman Sleeve Hoodie has become the Top Seller in our shop. This must have hoodie is affordable, loose and long, it’s perfect for those chilly nights ahead. Both colors are popular with our customers, our personal favorite is the grey hoodie, but who says you just have to pick one?! :)
I love to throw the grey hoodie on over my T-Shirt Dress after a hardcore work out at the gym. I designed this hoodie keeping in mind that it will be used for lounging around, working out or as a pull over after a work out. I wanted to make something ready to wear so that when you’re running out the door to throw out the trash or take the kids to school, it’ll be easy and simple. I love to keep warm and I think that the fabric of choice was perfect to keep you and I cozy.

Hello and Assalaam Alaykum Dear Customers!
As many of you know, many hours of love and labor have gone into making my collection a reality. We’ve had a few glitches along the way with our old web developer which was disappointing but taught us a lesson in learning and moving forward. That’s why I’m now excited to present to you our newly REVAMPED website! The feedback and support of all of you helped tremendously and we NOW present you a website that is cleaner in look, faster in speed, and completely user friendly, including on your mobile device. We want to be able to offer our customers the very best experience and customer service support and we’re finally there. So please take a moment to visit our site, browse the collection and SHOP! By helping support small businesses like ours, you help keep independent creativity alive!
With much gratitude,

Hey Salaam everyone!
Being a mom to two kids is eventful I must say! Sleepless nights, sick toddler and a teething 5 month old is keeping me on my toes! I have been working hard at adding hijabs to my collection and its moving forward. We’ll start off with giveaways first so spread the word and like my Facebook page Zeba Ramos Clothing.
What do you look for when buying a hijab? What colors would you like, do you want plain or printed materials and what material do you look for?
Here are some of the fabrics I will possibly work with for the giveaways.
Here is a look from my collection, it’s the Shirred Blouse in Animal Print. I added a belt, you may or may not do this, I pulled some of the fabirc out over the belt. Right now I’m nursing my baby and I had to constantly remove the belt and eventually just took it off. This may be why I look a little bit disheveled. It looks great both ways. I’m wearing a plain purple square hijab, it’s my MOMMY’S hijab and it is very dear to me. I have the back tucked in my blouse and the only pin that I am using is the one holding the two ends at the back of my head. I losely pulled the hijab and wrapped it at the back. I wanted to show the shirring and the yoke of the blouse. This was my Sunday out to promote my clothing line look :) And yes I had my baby attached to me, she doesn’t seem to like anyone but me, I LOVE it he he he….
Mas Salaama xx
We are quickly coming to the end of the production process, this is so exciting yet very nerve-racking at the same time!!! There is still a million things to be done before the initial launch of the website and clothing line. Coming up soon is the photo shoot! This will be the best part of the whole production process and I am so excited about working with Gisela my photographer and Juliana my model.
Here is a little sneak peek of an item from my collection. This is my personal sample, it’s the Hooded Dolman sleeve Sweatshirt, the hood is nice and big, the fit is long and loose and has it also has a kangaroo pocket to keep your hands warn and cozy.
Look forward to more sneak previews from the collection and some behind the scenes from the photo shoot coming soon insha’Allah…we are very excited about our first collection and can’t wait for the launch.
Producing a line is HARD WORK!!! I knew this as I began the process, but I can’t say that I’m not enjoying it. So now I’m done all the pattern making and sample making and I’m onto making each size which is called grading. My sized insha’Allah will run from S- XL. I will in the future go up to XXL.
I’ve met so many interesting and helpful people along the way. I have also learned a lot from them and sometimes I get advice from someone totally unexpected. I really appreciate all the support and most of all I appreciate my husband’s support. He is my ROCK and helps me hold myself together. SUBHAN ALLAH…I am really blessed to have him in my life!
PS: Thanks Priya for the behind the scenes pix!!! xx
Stay tuned for more updates..x
I’m working really hard on my collection that will be available Insha’Allah in Fall 2011. So far I’ve made many samples, reworked some things and changed a few of my designs along the way. ‘Sewing like crazy’ should be my middle name. As I’m working on this collection, I’m also working on ideas for my Spring collection, constantly sketching, sometimes i’ll be sitting in the car and i’ll get an idea and i’ll quickly draw it on a napkin and then come home and add it to my sketch book. My creative juices are flowing and creating is the fun part of my job.
Here is a little preview of one of the skirts that will be available in Fall. Again, it’s just a sample, the fabric will not be the same, this is a rough draft. This is a SIMPLE 6 gored skirt, (6 panels), with an invisible side zipper.
I’m getting a bit panicky, but I know that Insha’Allah it will be okay and I will be fine. I never had any heart problems, but lately I think I’m always going to have a heart attack!! I think I’m now suffering from anxiety attacks. Almost a month ago I thought I was going to die, it was terrible, my ribs hurt and my heart ached and I felt incredibly sick!!! Allhumdulillah I’m okay!! It’s not funny but I laugh about it because this is all due to my first collection coming this Fall 2011 Insha’Allah.
It’s been crazy but knowing that I am making my dreams come true makes it all worth it. I’ve been sketching, drafting, sampling, looking for fabric has been the greatest challenge. I’ve now moved onto my third and hopefully last pattern maker. She’s amazing and I love working with her, she listens to me and makes the changes I ask her to make without questions. I have to redo the first two patterns, due to lack of communication, but in reality it worked out for me. I’ve altered a lot of my designs and I’ve been reading and listening to my blog readers and potential customers. I know what I look for when I design and make my clothing and also when I’m shopping for myself. There is so much that the malls offer but for me it comes down to what I can pair that shirt with and what undershirt will work out or will this dress look okay with jeans or pants.
Recently I attended a get together and the waitress came up to me and told me that I looked amazing and really well put together! It really made my day and gave me more inspiration and passion for my work.
Thanks so much for the support everyone and especially to my husband(TR) and father(SM) who are helping me financially and the moral support from my sister(SMN), sister in law(GRV) and best friends(SN, SS, ZA, LH, NW) friends(PS, EZ) and also my cousins(JA), and (TA) who motivates me and reads my blogs every time I post, THANKS T. And of course the little man in my life who makes the rainiest days full of sunshine and comes to visit me while I’m working and gives me MAHS(kisses) to help me through my day!!! (IAR)
